I’ve been busy the last couple of weeks with the interviews of the contributor writers for my ebook, and other things. I confess I got so busy that I forgot all about my article series on the Armor of God. I know, right? How could I forget something so important, especially the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God? But isn’t that just like all of us?
We go along each day, living our busy, hectic lives, and we forget about God and His word. Then a crisis occurs, and suddenly we remember how important He is, and we cry out, “Oh, God!” I’m sure it hurts God’s heart. We simply need to repent and ask Him to help us draw closer to Him.
We can also take comfort in knowing that He understands we are “but flesh.”
“But He, being compassionate, forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them; And often He restrained His anger and did not arouse all His wrath. Thus He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes and does not return.” (Psalm 78: 38-40)
Oh, how thankful I am for how many times God has restrained His anger with me and shown me such love and mercy! Thank you, Jesus!
