This morning when I woke up, to my surprise it was snowing outside. Snow in spring. What in the world? Yet I felt God speaking through it.
Isaiah 43:19 NIV
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
That phrase “a new thing” in the original language is “Chadash” (Strong’s H2319). It means:
- fresh as of this year;
- unheard of;
- to produce something new;
- to polish a splendid sword (I thought this was very interesting!);
- to renew;
- to repair or restore buildings or towns;
- to renew oneself.
God also gave me Isaiah 1:18 CSB:
“Come, let us settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are scarlet, they will be white as snow, though they are crimson red, they will be like wool.”
No matter what sin you have committed, if you ask His forgiveness, believing in the finished work on the cross by Jesus Christ, He will forgive you.
I recorded a short video about the snow in spring today and the encouraging, prophetic word God gave me this morning. Here it is at YouTube. Just click on the link below to view it:
