It’s always exciting to write a book. No matter how many books that you’ve written and published, whether it’s one, ten, or 100, the feeling of seeing your name on that front cover (or Kindle cover) NEVER gets old. And there’s no other feeling than HOLDING your book!
I liken it to birthing a baby. Pregnancy is difficult and uncomfortable and by the ninth month, you just want it to be over with…but when the baby finally comes, what JOY to hold that precious, beautiful baby! And with a book, there’s even greater joy when it does well.
My newest book, Walking With God: In the Prophetic Lifestyle, made #1 in the category of Christian Prophet in Kindle! Whoo hoo!
You can find out more about it and buy it here.
It is about the spiritual gift of prophecy and its function in the Body of Christ. I also share my own exciting adventures learning how to use this precious, beautiful gift.
The apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 14:1, NLT, “Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives—especially the ability to prophesy.”
We should all desire to use this gift. All prophecy should point to and glorify Jesus Christ.
“And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” –Revelation 19:10, NKJV
I’m so excited to share about this book with you. I love the beautiful cover, too! The unfiltered image comes from a picture I took at Destin beach, Florida, when I went there on a vacation for a week in August 2022. I asked for a vote on Facebook from my “peeps” for which image to use for the book’s cover. This image had the most votes.
I actually wanted a different image for the cover (which was similar), but all the votes and something my husband Ray said made me decide on this one as the final image. I used an image of a woman walking on the beach with her footprints in the sand with my first book, Walking With God, which is about prayer. I love the beach and it is my place of peace and happiness, so I also wanted an image of a beach and footprints in the sand for this book.
I told Ray that with the title “Walking With God,” the footprints on the sand should be going in a straight directional line. But he said that when you’re walking with God throughout life, it can seem like you’re going in many different directions at times. The footprints on the beach go in different directions. This is true, so I chose this image.
My graphic designer at Fiverr, Angie, did a great job designing the cover. You can find her here. I LOVE it! I love the wine-red color of the subtitle, reminding me of the blood of Jesus and the sacrifice that He made for you and me so that we could have eternal, abundant life with God.
If you do buy the book, please leave a review as positive reviews help build authors’ credibility and to make more sales.
This book is an investment into the Kingdom of God. Please also share about this book with your family, your friends, and your biz peers. I pray that it blesses and encourages you.
