It’s been a stressful couple of months lately with lots of techie issues with our internet service, my laptop, my podcast, and my iPhone. You can listen in here at my new podcast on what’s been happening lately and to hear about the miracle God did with thousands of my phone pics and videos!
I give Jesus Christ all the glory for this and am so happy that God saved them for me! He is a good Father!
While you’re there at Anchor listening, feel free to subscribe to my podcast to not miss any new episodes, or you can listen and subscribe to my podcast at Spotify, Pocket Casts, RadioMarket, or Stitcher. I’m still working with my VA to get Google Podcast updated to the most recent ones!

Our phones were messing up, so Ray and I upgraded both our phones to the newest ones and we even got a better plan that was a little less expensive. Ray also bought more iCloud memory for my phone, so I won’t run out of space to store my pics and videos.
While my family thinks I take a ridiculous amount of pictures, two of the [young] tech staff at the phone company told me they had just as many, and more! Do you take lots of pics and videos on your phone? Basically, our phones have become our digital photo albums and scrapbooks.
The phone company’s tech staff also set my iPhone to automatically back up to the Cloud, so I never have a crisis happen again like I just did. I was so happy when the manager told me that he was able to restore my pics and videos of my precious kids and grandkids, going beyond the call of duty.
All this is way beyond my tech skills. I’ve never used the Cloud before, but now I certainly am to protect the pics and videos of my family! Do you use the Cloud?
I love my new forest-green iPhone 13. I’m the only one in my family with an iPhone; Ray and our 3 grown daughters Heather, Eden, and Leah prefer and have the Samsung Galaxy. My sister Maria does have an iPhone, so we can Facetime sometimes. It’s funny when she puts her orange and white cat Gucci on our Facetime. I let my cat Natalya sometimes say “hi,” too, LOL!
All I know is that when our daughter Leah and I traveled to Ireland, my iPhone was very dependable to use for us to drive all over Ireland in our rental car. I used the Waze app and it was awesome! My phone took great pics from there.
I’m praying to travel somewhere this year – hopefully Destin, Florida again, for at least a week! I want to go there alone to lay on the beach hearing the relaxing waves and smelling the salt air, to pray, refill, go to a coffee shop, shop for family souvenirs, and to work on speaking presentations and writing. I really need a vacation by myself to unwind after all the stress lately! I’d love to travel other places, too.
Last year, my beautiful daughter Heather paid my way to travel to Florida with her, her fiance Andy, and his 2 kids Kelsey and Kayden. We flew into Panama City, and the next morning, they rented a big, white Jeep to drive to Destin!
Everyone loved the Jeep. The tires were huge. Andy let down all the windows and opened the sunroof, turning up the radio loud, on the way back from Destin, driving to our hotel in Panama City. Andy, Heather, the kids, and I put on our shades and felt pretty cool, LOL! I remembered the Corey Hart song, Sunglasses at night.
One of the places we went to while in Destin was a huge souvenir shop called Alvin’s Island. After I got some shopping done, as all of us were getting into the jeep, I saw a tall, black man walk past our Jeep. The Holy Spirit began speaking to me in my heart and I knew this was a divine appointment.
It’s always a little scary to give prophetic words to a complete stranger, but I hadn’t flown all that way to Destin just to disobey God. I walked over to him and gave him the word.
The gist of it was that he was a warrior for God. When I asked him what his name was, he said, “Jonathan.” I smiled big and told him how Jonathan was a mighty warrior in the Bible, one of King David’s closest friends, and encouraged him to read about him in the Bible. He smiled in return and thanked me.
I believe his name was confirmation to me that I had heard God correctly about him. I felt relieved that I had obeyed the Lord! I knew that besides being able to go to the beach with my daughter Heather, Jonathan was the main reason God sent me there to Florida!
I had my small group of intercessors and my family praying for me, Heather, Andy, and the kids going there and back. I was thankful for the extra prayer cover! I encourage you to do this when on “assignment” from God and/or traveling!
Destin is gorgeous with white sand and clear, blue-green water. I wanted to stay much longer in Destin and Florida, but it was just a quick week-end trip. But hey, I’ll take it! My husband Ray asked why on earth anyone would take such a short trip to the beach. I told him that only beach lovers understand this, and I am one of them! A little beach time is better than none!
The beach is my place of peace and refilling, and Heather’s and my sister Maria’s, too. I live in Missouri now, so I don’t get to often go there. When I was a child, our family drove every summer from Georgia to different beaches in Florida. I’ve always loved the beach and I lived there a short time in Orlando, when I was a flight attendant working on small planes.
I’d been praying for years to go specifically to Destin, because it is the setting for my first fiction book, Storm Tossed. God answered my prayer and I was able to go to the beach and spend time with my precious daughter Heather! It was SUCH a huge blessing and I’m so thankful to God, Andy, and Heather that I got to go!
While there, Andy wanted to see alligators. He thinks they are cool. Before we went to Destin beach, as we waited out a sudden rainstorm, we found a restaurant to eat at called Fuddpucker’s, and the restaurant had lots of live alligators in pools on display for customers to look at. He, Heather, and the kids even got to take pics with a live baby alligator! This was another answered prayer –just for Andy!
They had delicious food and creamy shakes. They also put cute palm tree and alligator decorations in the drink, which we all saved for souvenirs.
Andy, Heather, the kids, and I all had a blast there. Andy and his kids had never been to the beach before meeting Heather 5 years ago and love it. They’ve now traveled to several beaches (Myrtle, South Carolina; Amelia Island, Florida, where they also saw the Light House; Panama City and Destin, Florida with me) and they are planning to take another beach trip in 2022. They can’t wait!
This was such a happy trip for me, going to the beach and spending time with Heather. We ate delicious seafood, relaxed on the beach, and had fun souvenir shopping.
Please pray that God makes this dream come true for me to travel back to Destin, Florida this year in 2022. I need financial provision to go. If God did it last year, He can do it again! AMEN.
