This weekend Ray, I and our daughter Leah drove to Montrose, Missouri.
I know, where? It’s this rural, TINY town (don’t blink!) in the middle of nowhere, but a restaurant there serves amazing, tender prime rib.
We haven’t had a good grilled steak for months, and oh my! The prime rib was delicious!
Below is a pic of Ray thoroughly enjoying his (even he had to get a to-go box). He said it brought out the carnivore in him. (My husband LOVES meat!)
Even the smaller prime rib serving that I got was HUGE! Later I finished every bite!
I also bought Ray a sterling silver, hand-stamped necklace for Father’s Day from Jennifer Whiddon Designs. Jennifer is an amazing, creative jewelry artist. The ship reminded me of Ray being in the Navy.
Today is Father’s Day and Ray is working – AGAIN!
He has been faithful to provide for our family the entire 21 years I’ve been married to him, even when his back has been re-injured again and again as a paramedic, from lifting obese patients. God will bless him for his hard work!
I’m praying that despite working, he has a great day. I’m thankful that he’s been such a Godly, good father to our 3 beautiful daughters Heather, Eden, and Leah. To them, dad is their hero.
I’m also thankful to my Heavenly Father, God, who loves me so much and has been so good to me. Happy Father’s Day, God! Thank you seems so inadequate.
“For in Him we live and move and have our being.” ~ Acts 17:28
For those who never knew his or her father, whose father died, or who had a neglectful or abusive father, know that God the Father loves you so much.
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.” – Matthew 10: 29, NIV
To all the fathers in the world, please know what a difference a Godly, good dad makes in a child’s life. I’ve seen first-hand the evidence of fatherlessness, and it is so destructive.
Please be there for your child(ren), spiritually, emotionally, and physically. No one can take your place. You make so much more of a difference than you can even know.
